OK Foods Zimbali Wedge – a Jewel in KZN

The OK Foods Group has seen significant growth in store numbers during 2018, with KZN excelling in this regard.  Arch is proud to be a business partner of the group and to have played a small role in this growth. At present the Arch solution is operational in 410 OKFD stores throughout Southern Africa.

An exceptional new OK Foods store, Zimbali Wedge, went live late last year in Balitho. The night before opening its doors, Etienne Nel (Jnr) and Nadine hosted invited guests and suppliers at a cocktail party in the store. All guests were then taken on a guided tour of the store – a nice personal touch to showcase the store and project their pride with it.

The store presents the discerning shopper with a unique shopping experience with ultra- modern designs and layout. Care has clearly been taken to pay attention to fine detail, such as picking your own selection of fruit to be blended into a healthy fruit juice, getting your coffee next to the entrance to enjoy whilst shopping (cup holder on trolley), toddler-friendly trolleys, home deliveries of orders, etc. The store offers a selection of dry goods (groceries) and the highest quality in all service departments (e.g. gourmet platters for that special function).

Arch is operational on 12 TowerPOS All-in-One tills, where an integrated service is offered (EFT, pre-paid airtime and Count on! loyalty cards). In addition to Arch Retail (in-store solution), Arch Mobile is also deployed. We thank the entire team who made the implementation possible – OKFD HO resources, OKFD KZN personnel, Arch KZN team and Arch HO personnel. We wish Etienne, Chris and the entire team all the best and trust it will become a landmark store of OKFD, not only in KZN, but also countrywide!
